Aug 2023 New Trunked System: Modification to WPKU884 to a YW trunked, assumed to be an NXDN 9600 system. FB8 75W Repeaters on 155.595, 154.3625, 154.8225, 151.385 and 155.8275 located at 13825 N. 1030th Street, Martinsville, IL (farm tower) MO8 75W mobiles on 158.73, 159.0675, 159.36, 159.39 and 159.405 Current 151.385 Base modified to Repeater (from 100W to 50W NXDN 9600), located at 508 Plum St, Marshall (County Jail tower)

Updates on system activity:

As of September 2024, User reported system was on the air. 154.175 RAN1 as the control channel. SYS 21D NX48 1 RAN site 1 LCN 1. Also 154.3625

As of April 2025, another user reported that the system appears to be off the air. User monitored the frequencies that were previously active in September 2024 from multiple locations in the county and did not hear any traffic. There was also no control channel activity observed. User also monitored other frequencies in the same license and did not hear any activity there either. It appears that Clark County Sheriff as well as municipal law enforcement agencies in the county are still being dispatched on STARCOM21 talk-group 8301, which is not encrypted. Clark County Board meeting minutes from a board meeting on February 21, 2025 say the following: "Board Member Burkybile informed the Board about the radio tower and radios. Starlink is going to be added as a backup as an internet provider. Commercial Radio Service is working on trying to get the tower up and going. There is a possibility of a redundant system but as a last resort."
